This policy describes how aom.tools handles data for agent registration, download analytics, site operations, and the AOM Surface Explorer Chrome extension.

Information we collect

  • Download analytics: aggregate download counts per file.
  • Operational logs: standard server logs (e.g., request timing, error diagnostics).

  • To issue registration keys and maintain agent identity records.

Chrome Extension — AOM Surface Explorer

The AOM Surface Explorer Chrome extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data or browsing data.

  • Page analysis: The extension reads the DOM and accessibility tree of the active tab locally on your device to generate an Agent Surface Model (ASM) JSON output. No page content or user data is sent to any server.
  • Permissions: The scripting and activeTab permissions are used only when you explicitly activate the extension. The storage permission saves your preferences locally in your browser and never leaves your device.
  • Host permissions: Broad host permissions (http://*/*, https://*/*) are required so the extension can operate on any page you choose to inspect. No data from any host is collected or transmitted.
  • No remote code: The extension does not load or execute any remote JavaScript. All logic is bundled within the extension package.

Children's privacy

aom.tools is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

International use

If you use aom.tools from outside your country, your data may be processed in jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

Changes

We may update this policy to reflect product changes. Updates will be posted on this page.
